In 2009, Newry & Mourne District Council produced a new Economic Development Strategy for the area. The strategy was developed by N&MDC in association with FS McClure Watters & Oxford Economics and is based on a comprehensive review of Newry & Mourne's economic and social position, based on the needs of the area, the people and on the Council's access to resources.
The 3 key themes of the Economic Development Strategy are as follows:-
- Business : Survive and Thrive
- Public Realm / Infrastructure
A variety of indicative actions and outputs have been identified under each of the above 3 themes. For further details on the Strategy you can download it here or alternatively you can contact the Enterprise Development Unit Contact details can be found here.
